UGC NET Qualifying Marks 2026
The qualifying marks are the minimum aggregate scores that candidates must secure in Paper I and Paper II combined. These should not be confused with the final UGC NET cut off, which is applied separately for JRF, Assistant Professor and PhD selection. For General and EWS applicants must secure at least 40% aggregate marks. For OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and Third Gender applicants must secure at least 35% aggregate marks. Both Paper I and Paper II scores are considered for determining eligibility. The final subject-wise cut off is released after evaluation of all applicants’ performance. The minimum qualifying marks for Paper 1 General and EWS Category is 40% (40 out of 100 marks) and OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender is 35% (35 out of 100 marks)
